Supporting the recruitment, retention, and development of a diverse staff profile that reflects the demographics of South Africa.

Student Access and Success

Fostering an inclusive environment that supports equitable access, academic success, and holistic well-being for all FASS students.

Institutional Culture

Cultivating a faculty culture grounded in mutual respect, dignity, and belonging for all staff and students.

Subcommittees of the FASS TC

Our work is organised into three subcommittees — People, Places, and Programmes, Policies and Processes — each addressing a key dimension of transformation within the Faculty.

Focusing on the well-being, equity, and development of all staff and students within the Faculty. This includes staff equity and diversification, student access and success, and fostering a culture of dignity and belonging for everyone in FASS.

Addressing the physical and social spaces of the Faculty to ensure they are inclusive, accessible, and reflective of shared values. This includes visual redress, the naming of spaces, and creating environments where all members of the FASS community feel welcome.
